Cat Safe Birthday Cake Recipe

Makes: 2 small cakes                 Prep time: 20 mins         Cooking time: 15 mins.

Ingredients:

1 egg

½ can tuna

2 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons shredded/grated cheese –any, but cheddar or American are good options

Defrosted shrimp (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350^oF.

Break up tuna into a medium bowl.

Lightly beat egg in a separate bowl then mix with tuna.

Add flour and cheese.

Stir to combine.

Scoop batter into cupcake tin or silicone cups. If cupcake tin, spray non-fat cooking spray in first, or use paper cupcake wrappers (remove before feeding)

Bake for 15 mins.

Wait to cool and then place small pieces of shrimp on top.

Can be fed whole as one cake, or break into pieces for cat. I find the cats need it broken up or else they can’t figure out how to bite pieces off. Be sure and have some for each cat on separate plates to avoid any competition. They will all want some!
